Are we in love, or are we simply afraid of being alone?

A woman carries the memories of her first relationship for twenty years, finding comfort and company in anyone else but herself and family. Time passes; the pain remains but the woman gets wiser. Then, she receives a call informing her of her ex-girlfriend’s passing, unraveling two decades of letting go. Do we ever truly move on from the people we wanted the most? As memories and visions of her ex-girlfriend return, the woman relives memories of loss, confusion and regret in her life, kick started by the events of her first relationship.

Hitting (On) Women is a hard-hitting play of yearning, regret and healing while running away from loneliness.

"You brought out what I wanted to say with this piece better than I could. You're putting up a better piece than I wrote."
— Ovidia Yu, playwright
